Worth Our Lives | Acts Sermon 6 | Pastor Jesse Campbell
Our lives are incredibly valuable, but we waste them when we invest them entirely in our own hedonism. When we invest our lives in sharing the hope we've found in Jesus with as many people as possible before we die, we spend them well and look back on lives well spent regardless of our socioeconomic standing or professional success. Mental Health, Grit, Simone Biles, and Kerri Strug
We love our Olympians, but we're at a crossroads on what to make of two gymnastics legends. The world cheered for Kerri Strug, but Simone Biles' opting out of Olympic competition for the sake of her mental health caused many to revise their take on the most memorable moment of the '96 Olympics. Mental health is now at the forefront of our minds, but how do average people apply what's being discussed? We can't just opt out of our jobs. It seems we have no choice but to show grit because we'll get fired if we just choose not to do what we signed up to do. The good news is that there is another way.
God Took Away our Excuses | Acts Sermon 5 | Pastor Jesse Campbell
The people used by God to miraculously advance His Church in the Book of Acts were all displaced, disgraced, and even publicly beaten. He looked at the poor man bloodied by the mob who betrayed him and said, "This one is mine." Today, we know the names of Priscilla, Aquila, Crispus, Sosthenes, Apollos, and Paul; but we don't know the names of the people who tormented them. Each of them had a past pain or imperfection and each of them is recorded in the greatest-selling book of all time for having been used by God. God can use anyone He wants. He has taken away all of our excuses when it comes to evangelism. Find more at https://www.jessecampbellministries.com/
